  6. The N.Y.  Railroad  Game is written in MS Visual Basic  (German),  under
  7. DOS4.  It  therefore  requires  MS Windows  3.0, and the Runtime  System
  8. VBRUN100.DLL.
  9.  
  10. After starting the game,  and having entered an ID Name,  the trains run
  11. in automatic mode. All signalling is programmed, in order to avoid train
  12. crashes.  Trains come in from three corners,  and are timed randomly.  A
  13. bell rings before the next train comes in.

  15. An option button can be pressed with the mouse, for changing into manual
  16. mode.  The signalling  then must be done with the mouse,  by pressing on
  17. the signal (signals switch between red and green).

  19. During  signal  switching  errors,  trains  can crash  into each  other.
  20. Crashes are counted up and compared to the time  elapsed.  An execessive
  21. crash  frequency is reported on a message table,  and the game ends with
  22. the current run.

  24. The END button must be used to leave the N.Y. Railroad Game.
